A gap assessment shows how your current practices compare with the requirements of a standard. It gives you an objective starting point before you invest time and money in certification.
What You Receive
- A clause-by-clause comparison of your current system with the standard
- Gaps described with the objective evidence behind them
- An overall readiness view to help you plan
What a Gap Assessment Is Not
We report gaps against requirements. We do not write your documents, design solutions or implement your system, because that would be consultancy. Keeping this boundary protects the impartiality of any later certification.
| We do | We do not |
|---|---|
| Identify gaps against stated requirements | Write policies, procedures or manuals |
| Explain what a requirement means in general terms | Design solutions specific to you |
| Report findings with objective evidence | Implement or manage your system |
How It Works
- Agree the standard, scope and sites.
- Document review and interviews, on site or remotely.
- Written report with findings.
Gap Assessment and Certification
A gap assessment is a separate service with its own report. It does not lead automatically to certification and gives no advantage in a certification decision.
