CE marking shows that a product meets applicable EU legislation before it is placed on the European market. CE marking is a manufacturer’s declaration, not an ISO certification. Only the manufacturer affixes the CE mark.
What We Offer
A compliance certification of your technical documentation. We assess it against the applicable EU requirements and the harmonized standards you have applied, and issue a USGSR Certificate of Compliance with our findings.
We are not an EU Notified Body. Products whose conformity assessment procedure requires a Notified Body must use one; our certificate does not replace it.
Who It Helps
- Manufacturers using self-declaration routes who want independent assurance before signing their Declaration of Conformity
- Exporters whose distributors or customers ask for third-party evidence
- Importers checking a supplier’s technical file
What We Review
| Document | What we check |
|---|---|
| Product description and drawings | Scope and identification of the product |
| Applicable legislation | Correct directives and regulations identified |
| Risk assessment | Hazards identified and addressed |
| Standards applied | Harmonized standards listed and relevant |
| Test reports | Coverage, competence of the lab, results |
| Instructions and labeling | Required information, warnings and languages |
| Draft EU Declaration of Conformity | Content and consistency with the file |
Limitations
Our certificate confirms the technical documentation we reviewed met the stated requirements at the time of review. It does not certify the product itself, does not replace testing, and does not authorize use of a Notified Body number.
